James Cowper strengthens Payroll Bureau

Thames Valley accountants and business advisers James Cowper has strengthened its specialist payroll bureau, JC Payroll Services, with the appointment of a new payroll senior.

Steve Walker joins JC Payroll Services on 8 July from De La Rue, the world’s largest commercial banknote printer, where he had worked as payroll administrator for the past six years.

Nick Butler, Managing Director, JC Payroll Services, said: “I am delighted to welcome Steve to the team.  He has an excellent reputation and a detailed knowledge of payroll procedures.  JC Payroll Services is growing rapidly with demand for our services being driven by changes in the way payroll has to be reported in real time to HMRC.”

Commenting on his appointment, Steve Walker said: “JC Payroll Services has a terrific track-record with a great client base.  I am looking forward to developing my career further and working alongside Nick and his team.”

Initially created to serve the clients of Thames Valley accountants James Cowper, JC Payroll Services now manages payroll around the world.  JC Payroll Services’ nine strong team manages, on average, 500 payrolls each month totaling £25 million.  It is also one of the UK's largest BACS approved payroll bureaus, managing BACS payments totaling £250m a year.

JC Payroll Services’ professionalism has also been recognised by HMRC, which asked it to pilot its PAYE Real Time Information regime, giving JC Payroll Services a unique insight into the new regime that began in April.
